  • For those interested in getting a head-start on what we’ll be learning this weekend at the Western Regional International Health Conference, check out the conference schedule here.   • On February 28th the African Lecture Series will be hosting Stephen Dueppen, a professor of Anthropology who will be speaking on “Spiritual Leadership and Dispersed Power in Prehistoric Burkina Faso.” The lecture begins at 1 PM in the Mills International so be sure to be on time if you plan on attending.

  • Students for Global Health will be having our community-wide garage sale on March 4th at a location that is still to be determined. If you can, look around your house for any items that you’re willing to part with- all proceeds benefit the Nyamirama Health Center.
  • On March 10th Qdoba Mexican Grill has graciously offered to donate 20% of all proceeds towards the Nyamirama Health Center. Help raise publicity by “liking” Qdoba on Facebook and encourage all friends to come by and get some tasty Mexican food.

  • On Monday, February 13th Students for Global Health is working with Slow Food Eugene to screen the documentary “The Dark Side of Chocolate.” Come learn about the inner-workings of the worldwide chocolate industry and enjoy fair trade chocolate and free condoms while you’re at it!

  • Come out and show your support Students for Global Health on Monday, February 6th outside of the Duck Store. We’ll be tabling and selling baked goods along with FACE AIDs pins from 10 AM-2 PM!
