In the last three weeks Food for Lane County has distributed more food to the public than they have received.

The Dining Hall operates Monday-Thursday and serves meals to those in need.

Today marks the official kick-off date for our Fall Food Drive for Food for Lane County! If possible test the generosity of your neighborhood and see how many cans your community will donate before Thanksgiving. Not sure what to donate?
Today we are fortunate enough to hear Janet Bott, Education Coordinator of HIV Alliance, speak about the valuable work that this organization does in our community. Here are some quick facts about HIV Alliance:

The mission is to support individuals living with HIV/AIDS and to prevent new infections.

It offers services for support, prevention, and education regarding HIV/AIDS in Lane County.

If you are interested or would like to learn more about the opportunities provided by this incredible organization, head over to their website.

Special thanks to John, former member of HIV Alliance’s Board of Directors, for sharing your heartfelt story and for your continuing involvement within this organization.

Everyone come to our meeting on Wednesday, November 9th to hear from the UO health center’s own Dr. Heaman! He’ll be discussing his role and experience as a medical practitioner in the international community.
